Don’t we all wish that our hubbies and boyfriends looked like Brad Pitt or George Clooney? They might be just as attractive (or we like to think so!), but they might not be aging as well. Of course, it helps that these men have great trainers, doctors, chefs and nutritionists to keep them on the path to healthy. But I’m going to share some of their tips that these guys use and then maybe your man will try these out and become the hottest dude on the block!
Rob Lowe: After seeing himself in a magazine titled “Worst Beach Bodies” he knew it was time to make a change, and step-up his exercise regime to include adventurous activities like big-wave surfing. Also, Lowe, currently 49, has been sober for 20 years! Not only has he cut out alcohol, but also most carbs!
Hugh Jackman: Our favorite Australian has the body of a 25 year old, clearly. And he really steps it up when he is filming Wolverine! Hugh Jackman is currently 44 but his body easily looks 10 years younger! What’s his trick? Boxing…with a side of swimming and running eight miles a day. “A boxing class is about as good a workout as you can have” he has told Huffington Post “if you need to lose a little bit of weight and you want to do it in a way that is tough but engaging and not boring, boxing is the way to do it.”
Patrick Dempsey, or as most know him as Dr. McDreamy: There are not many guys that look as good as he does, but his trick is pretty easy! He is an passionate bike rider. Many paparazzi have spotted him biking by himself or sometimes, he has company of his wife, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey. Not only does he take his health seriously, but he also wants others to feel the burn by starting “The Dempsey Challenge” in 2009. It challenges people to bike, run, or walk to raise money and awareness for his charity, Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Not that your man will start biking 100 miles a week like Dempsey, but hey, it might be a fun activity to do together!
President Barack Obama: OK, so he isn’t an actor, but he is definitely a celebrity! He has also chosen a healthy lifestyle. He cut out tobacco from his daily regime. The Prez use to smoke at least five times a day. Not only is he adding years onto his life, but the change has helped with better sleep and has caused him not to age as fast!
However, my favorite tip of all is from hottie Brad Pitt: What keeps this 49-year-old stunner looking and feeling young is taking family vacations. Although Pitt’s family vacations aren’t the normal laying out on the beach, but rather zip-lining in Budapest or surfing in Cancun. I guess having six kids would keep you in shape!
