Last night I attended the Darling Companion premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, and so did some of the most adorable and adoptable furry friends. The Amanda Foundation, one of the best animal rescue organizations in Los Angeles, brought many of their available dogs to this animal-friendly event. And the guests, sipping Patron cocktails, were loving the pups! How could they not? In fact, LA City Councilman Paul Koretz presented the cast and crew from the film with SPC Certificates of Appreciation and declared Friday, April 20th Darling Companion Day!

Late fashion designer and animal lover, Alexander (Lee) McQueen, had a soft spot in his heart for his 3 English bull terriers-Juice, Minter, and Callum. And even in death, McQueen has made sure that his beloved pooches would always be well taken care of. His will revealed that he left around $82,000 for the lifetime care of the dogs. That’s a lot of kibble & kongs! He even left $164,000 to 2 animal charities-the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity.
