It is awards season, and that includes for animals too! The 25th Annual Genesis Awards-spotlighting both the news and entertainment media responsible for producing content and programming that raises awareness of animal issues-is right around the corner! The awards will be held on Saturday, March 19th at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. And this year’s nominees are outstanding in their own right. They include The Oprah Winfrey Show, HBO’s True Blood, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Daily Show, amongst many others. One special honoree, Kristin Davis, will be presented with The Wyler Award for making the news about her mission to help save African elephants from ivory poaching. Way to go, Kristin!
