Apparently, all of turmoil with the Jackson family and not being allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert have taken their toll on Paris Jackson. Earlier today, the 15 year old attempted suicide by trying to cut her wrists with a kitchen knife and downing upwards of twenty motrin. After calling a suicide hotline, she was rushed to the hospital this morning, where she is currently receiving medical treatment.
The family’s attorney, Perry Sanders, Jr., released the following statement:
“Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family’s privacy.” Michael Jackson’s brothers Marlon, Tito and Jermaine Jackson told ET, “Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris. She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family’s privacy at this time.”
La Toya Jackson maintained, “We are grateful and appreciate the overwhelming concern for Paris from both the public and the media, but request privacy at this time while our family handles these issues together.”
This is so sad. I’m sure Michael Jackson is turning over in his grave right now. They really need to take control of their family and focus on healing, rather than fighting. What do you think?
