GETTING BIKINI-READY LIKE THE STARS THIS SUMMER

Now that it is July, summer is in full swing. You may have been working to get that bikini-ready bod or maybe not. Fear not, because here are a few tips from celebrities on fitness strategies they like to do in the summer time. Get motivated!

Katy Perry likes to do things outdoors; she would rather go hiking or take a nice long bike ride than be at the gym every time she wants to get a work out done. She also takes into account her diet, and eats five small, nutritious meals a day. If this sounds like a good plan for you keep a spreadsheet or journal of when you eat and exercise so that it can help you keep track of your fitness goals.

Beyoncé likes the abdominal exercises, which are hard but definitely worth the pain. Weighted punches, weighted and jumping lunges, and reverse squat kicks are other exercises she does to keep in Queen B shape.

Jenna Dewan Tatum likes to start her workouts with a solid nonstop 15-minute dance cardio, usually in a squat position the whole time. After dancing, she does muscle toning moves, lunges, squats, planks, and abdominal exercises to get that toned core. She also likes to drink a green smoothie that contains ingredients such as spinach, kale, and lemon.

Britney Spears is a fan of lap swimming. This is a great way to stay in shape for the summer because, one, you get a work out in, and two, you get to cool off from the summer heat! If she is working out at home, she will start with an intense 20 minutes of cardio, usually running. She also is a fan of yoga and will do that for 60-90 minutes whenever she can.

Sofia Vergara isn’t really a fan of working out but has a motto of “No pain, no cake!” She also does some Pilates inspired workouts.

Jennifer Aniston usually starts with 25 minutes of spinning then 45 minutes of yoga, including planks and balancing poses. Ouch!

Gigi Hadid stays in shape by doing boxing everyday. She keeps a healthy diet, but also indulges from time to time. It’s all about everything in moderation. That is the key. And please remember, to always check with your doctor before you begin any fitness plan.
