In honor of October being National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, I am going to be spotlighting the importance of pet adoption and shelter animals on the red alert all month long.
And just last week, I caught up with the stars such as Jennifer Coolidge, Naomi Judd, Joey Lawrence, Pauley Perrette and others at the 3rd Annual American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards. The awards show spotlights eight of America’s top dogs as hero dogs for their work in search and rescue, therapy, military, working, law enforcement/arson dog, hearing dog, service and emerging hero dogs categories. And there was no shortage of love for these canine superstars, or for their own fur babies!
