The epidemic of brutally slaughtering elephants for their ivory has reached epic proportions in Africa. The numbers of wild African elephants have seriously dwindled over the last two decades due to poaching and the illegal ivory trade.
And with the high demand of ivory from countries like China and even the US, and the corruption of the African government, it can feel like there will never be an end to this problem. But there are people on the front lines of this war fighting for the lives of the elephants in the hopes that these senseless killings will stop and there will be no desire to own these tusks.
