Even though summer coming to a close, it doesn’t mean traveling must come to an end. It doesn’t with the stars. And so we have taken note of the most popular vacation spots your favorite celebs have enjoyed this year. These are some of the hottest celebrity travel destinations of 2016.
Turks and Caicos
Reese Witherspoon took pictures of the gorgeous islands of the Bahamas while being there this summer. What could be wrong with bright blue crystal clear water in the middle of the ocean?
In that same vicinity is Turks and Caicos, which is one of the best places in the Caribbean to scuba dive. Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski and Kylie Jenner have spent some time there recently.
Victoria Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Lily Aldridge both visited Greece this year. The architecture and food are fabulous, and the latter is part of the healthy Mediterranean diet which includes fish, olive oil and fresh vegetables.

Along with other beach paradises, Hawaii is next on the list. There is plenty of celebrity travel to the Hawaiian Islands. One, because it is so close to California and, two, because of its breathtaking views and scenery. Among its celebrity visitors are Goldie Hawn, Jessica Alba, Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Jay Z with their daughter Blue Ivy. And there is plenty to do-surfing, scuba diving, bike riding and relaxing!
Mexico is another popular celebrity destination with plenty to see and do. The stars that have visited south of the border this year include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Simpson, Julianne Hough, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Gaga. Mexico is always a great time, and what is better than ice-cold margaritas and Coronas on the beach?!
Europe is a hot place for Hollywood stars to visit, and Italy is one of the continent’s most popular countries. John Legend and Chrissy Teigan brought their newborn daughter, Luna, for their first family vacation. They stopped in many Italian cities including Tuscany and Rome, and had a great time exploring the countryside. Mariah Carey, Vanessa Hudgens, and Karlie Kloss have also been seen spending time on Italian islands near Naples and Pompeii. Ibiza is another popular spot among celebrities. Kate Hudson, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alessandra Ambrosio and her family have visited in the last few months. It is a place known for its spectacular beaches, nightlife, and all-night parties!

And some celebrities chose to stay close to home and travel to California’s 59 National Parks. Actor Mark Ruffalo took his family to Joshua Tree National Park while the Obamas traveled to Yosemite for a relaxing family vacation.
