The 3rd and final day of Style360 kicked off with a bang! First up, the Malan Breton Collection, which was beautifully tailored with careful attention to detail. United Nude provide the avant-garde footwear for the show. There is something about a man in a Malan Breton suit-so sharp and debonair, like old Hollywood. And his Fall 2011 women’s collection incorporated beautiful Asian elements which came to life through the theatrical interpretation of “Kyoto Wonderland” by supermodel Irina Pantaeva. Really amazing.
Angelina Pivarnick returned to STYLE360 for the second show of the day, EMU Australia, as did her ex-cast mate, Sammi Sweetheart. These two not only gave each other the silent treatment, but also Sammi reportedly was heard saying “keep her away from me.” In fact, I saw a bit of a stare down with each other as they sat on opposite sides of the room. Drama! Also in the audience was Chaske Spencer, who mentioned to me that he wore his beloved EMU boots during the filming of the Twilight series. Now that gives new meaning to a wolf in sheep’s clothing!
WTB (White Trash Beautiful) designed by Richie Sambora and Nikki Lund was the last show of the day, and didn’t disappoint. True to the creative forces behind the brand, the clothes were rock-inspired and sexy. Think leather, mini dresses, and lots of black! The presentation was sponsored by Polaroid Sunglasses, which complemented the clothes well.
Afterwards, we headed over to Avenue for the STYLE360 closing party celebrating the WTB Collection. There, I interviewed Sambora and Lund for a 2nd time (good day at the office!) They mentioned how thrilled they were to have shown their designs at STYLE360 and can’t wait for the next time. Agreed!
