You know the dog days of summer are officially upon us when The Discovery Channel’s Shark Week hits the airwaves. And it kicked off last night with a bang!
On the air since 1988, it has captivated audiences since day one by showing the apex predator’s daily life, behaviors and how they should be respected and conserved. Last year alone, The Discovery Channel garnered over 53 million viewers during Shark Week, making it a huge franchise for the network.
And some of the show highlights this season include Air Jaws: Fins of Fury, Zombie Sharks and I Escaped Jaws 2, profiling those lucky people who have narrowly escaped a shark attack. There are even live shark cams online to watch these creatures in their natural habitat. Shark Week runs all week through Saturday. Will you watch it?
