On Saturday, September 24th, Best Friends Animal Society will be holding its Strut Your Mutt event in Los Angeles at Pan Pacific Park. This year’s event will benefit Coastal German Shepherd Dog Rescue, a Southern California based animal charity, dedicated to lifesaving adoptions and spay/neuter programs, rescuing at-risk Shepherds and find new homes for them, and saving animals from the misery of life on the streets.

And you don’t have to be in LA to participate in this fundraising event. You can walk virtually as well. Here is what your dollars can do for this non-profit organization:
-$5 feeds 5 dogs a day
–$100 is enough to get a homeless dog or cat
out of a shelter and into a forever home
–$200 can provide bottle feedings and TLC
for two orphaned puppies
–$500 is enough to provide shelter and care for a month in our boarding facilities
–$1,000 can provide shelter and care for 50 animals
displaced in a natural disaster
