In case you missed it, just this last week, Katherine Heigl, Nancy Heigl, and the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation pledged over $1,000,000 through the launch of the Compassion Revolution to the City of LA and various shelters across the Los Angeles area to improve the lives of shelter animals and to try to put a stop to the pet over population epidemic. Truly a ground breaking program, it provides no cost spay/neuter initiatives to various zip codes, targets the over population of Pit Bulls and American Staffordshires, and provides pet care classes and training through the Millan Foundation. All the while promoting pet adoption, instead of purchasing pets from pet stores, and the movement will be rolling out other initiatives in the future.
