American Wolves in the Wild
American wolves are in great danger-they are losing numbers rapidly due to the federal government’s elimination of the protection of wolves in Idaho and Montana by suspending their enlistment on the Endangered Species Act in those states. Also in Alaska, more that 1,000 wolves have been killed by aerial gunning, poison, and snares. And in the Southwest, particularly Arizona and New Mexico, where certain types of wolves are teetering on extinction, there are only 4 breeding pairs of Mexican wolves left in the wild. These animals are seriously in danger of becoming extinct.
