Did you hear about the HBO racehorse drama called Luck starring Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte, and Jill Hennessy?
Well, luck they didn’t have as three racehorses that were used on the show had to be euthanized after suffering severe injuries on set. Two thoroughbreds were put down due to running fractures, and the third one was euthanized after sustaining a head injury. This happened over ten months of filming over the last two years. As a result, HBO decided to cancel the show (the responsible thing to do in my opinion). Said HBO about the suspension of Luck, “While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen and it is impossible to guarantee they won’t in the future. Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision.” Do you support HBO’s decision to pull the plug on Luck?

I am glad they cancelled that show. What a tragedy!
