George Clooney deserves some major praise today. Not only for winning the Best Actor Golden Globe last night for his role in The Descendants (the winner for Best Movie in the Drama category), but also because he recently adopted a shelter dog, a black cocker spaniel named Einstein.

Clooney found him while searching the Internet, and then when he inquired about the pup, the rescue told him that Einstein would have to meet and like him first. No special treatment there! So what did George do? He rubbed meatballs on his shoes, in order to gain the dog’s acceptance, before this perspective meeting. And guess what? It worked! And now the Golden Globe winning actor says, “Forever, now, he just thinks of me as the guy with the meatball feet. He loves me. I can do no wrong. He follows me everywhere.” Bravo, George!
