Just last week, the Canadian government gave the thumbs up to commercial sealers to begin their yearly barbaric seal hunt. Not only did they reinstate the hunt, but they increased the number of harp, gray, and hooded seals to be killed to 388,200, despite attempts by The Humane Society to reconsider the hunt in its entirety. The Humane Society and their Protect Seals program is asking you what you would pledge if the Seal Hunt was canceled. Nigel Barker from America’s Next Top Model and a huge proponent of the Protect Seals program has pledged, “If Canada cancels the hunt, I’ll escort Prime Minister Harper on a trip to remember: to the seal nursery, where the beautiful pups can personally thank him.” What would you pledge?
