Pink is one of those colors that can either look amazing on the red carpet or look like one stepped out of a 1980’s John Hughes film. And don’t get me wrong-I do love me some ’80’s flicks. Just not on my body!
Thankfully, Emily Blunt got it right when she stepped onto the red carpet last night at the Palm Springs International Film Festival premiere of her latest flick, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Decked it a guipure lace Marios Schwab pink dress, a studded Marchesa clutch, Dana Rebecca Designs rose gold jewels, and pewter peep toe heels, she was the perfect mix of pretty and modern. The darker accessories balance out the lightness of the dress and pink and gray is one of my fave color combos. The textures of all of the pieces play on each other and tie the look together. Definitely liking this unexpected ensemble.
