After the tremendous Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines last week, there is endless destruction and devastation in the area. And lots of human and animal suffering. The natural disaster was more powerful than Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy combined!
But relief agencies like the Humane Society International, PAWS AND IFAW are all on the ground to help the surviving animals in the region. Many of these animals are injured, starving and in serious need of medical help. There is debris everywhere, and the street dogs and cats are rummaging through trash, looking for food.
