PROTECTING PETS FROM THE POLAR VORTEX

Winter is an especially brutal time for animals. Dropping temperatures, lack of food and water, severe weather systems and inadequate shelter all combine to create devastation for pets. Above all, the best thing to do is keep all furry family members indoors, under your supervision, with plenty of food and water to sustain them through the cold. Despite the fact that dogs and cats have fur, it isn’t enough to protect them from the elements when the temperatures drop. They are at risk for hypothermia and frostbite, especially when the wind chill dips below freezing. Bring your pets inside!
