This week, NFL players will be wearing custom cleats supporting the “My Cleats, My Cause” campaign. And Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott will be sporting paws, bones, and a picture of his Rottie Ace, taking a stand against animal cruelty. The phrase, “Adopt, Volunteer, Prevent Cruelty” will be emblazoned on his shoes, in order to create awareness and show his love for animals.
Sadly, this professional running back has experienced first hand what losing a pet is like. Just last year, Elliott’s beloved dog, Chase. was stolen from his property when an intruder cut a hole in the fence and took him. But that hasn’t stopped him from promoting his favorite cause. Just last month, he sponsored $21 pet adoptions!
