Just this past weekend, I saw Keith Urban perform at the Staples Center. And I was thoroughly impressed. Not only is Keith on of the hottest country music stars out there, he is also an amazing guitar player. He seriously shreds! During the concert he called his buddy, John Fogerty, to the stage for a rousing rendition of “Proud Mary.” Urban also dedicated a song to his wifey, Nicole Kidman (who wasn’t in attendance), with an “I love you, baby!” as the crowd cheered.

And before the show started, I went backstage for a personal meet and greet with Urban, who couldn’t have been frendlier. When I walked up, the first thing he did was introduce himself, and then give me a big Aussie bear hug! He mentioned that he loved getting up and close with his fans, hence the name of his tour-Get Closer. Good thing he smelled really good! No doubt because of Phoenix, his first men’s fragrance that he released this week. It smells rich and woodsy, with just the right hint of berry. Very masculine and sensual. Phoenix is available at mass-market retailers like CVS, Rite-Aid, and Sears. The great news is that the price points are very reasonable, ranging from $24-$48. Now that is a sweet thing!
