Music was definitely in the air last night as the American Music Awards reigned over the City of Angels and one of the brightest stars of the show was Miss Janet Jackson. The sexy songstress killed it with several of her hits including “Control”, “Miss You Much”, “If”, a cut of her new song “Make Me”, and a rousing rendition of “Together Again”-no doubt a poignant tribute to her late brother and the King of Pop, Michael. And to top off her great performance, she celebrated with a star studded bash at the W Westwood, which I enjoyed very much. While the soft spoken Janet remained in the VIP area chatting with pals, other famous friends of hers came out to show their support. Among them hip hop mogul Russell Simmons who brought along his very own PYT, tennis champ Venus Williams surrounded by a group of admirers, and director Brett Ratner who was escorted by not one but two lovely ladies.
