spotty, so some of my posts have been delayed. But I defintely want to share with you the evening that I had on Sunday night in London at the Hard Rock Calling concert in Hyde Park featuring Dave Matthews and Bruce Springsteen. What an amazing show! Dave Matthews kicked off the evening with his Southern jams, including “Ants Marching,” “Don´t Drink the Water,” and “Two Step.” I was a little surprised that it seemed like the crowd wasn´t really familiar with the Dave Matthews band, but that all chaged as Dave and the boys blasted the audience with their unique sound and jamming energy, complete with Matthews´shuffle dance. Dave even joked about the untimely passing of band mate Le Roi Moore last year saying that the band wrote “Why I Am” just to piss him off. And Dave performed “All Along the Watchtower” which transitioned seamlessly into Led Zeppelin´s ¨Stairway to Heaven” which got people jumping up and down. Dave even mentioned his encounter with one of his presumed rock idols Bruce Springsteen saying the he was still glowing after his backstage meeting.

Speaking of The Boss, you could tell that he was pumped to be onstage again in London. In fact, he led off his set with The Clash´s “London Calling” which sent the fans into a frenzy as they proudly shouted back each and every verse. Bruce even broke curfew paying a full 3 hours for concert goers which included “Jungleland,” “Outlaw Pete,” “Out in the Streets,” “Born to Run,” “Badlands.” Bruce tirelessly worked the multilevel stage, running up and down at which point he confessed that he was 60 and needed an elevator! Just like the show in Los Angeles, Springsteen collected homemade signs from the crowd presenteing their desired tracks. At the end of the night, he wrapped up his set with “Dancing in the Dark” and “Glory Days” which were audience favorites. All in all, a killer evening with rock ´n´roll greats!

Guess where I will be tonight? Here is a hint:
