Friday, October 1 was officially proclaimed “John Lennon Day” by the City of Los Angeles. The late Beatle would have celebrated his 70th Birthday on October 9th.
Last night at the Hollywood premiere at the Egyptian Theater of The Weinstein Company’s Nowhere Boy, John’s first band mates, The Quarrymen, were on hand to honor their fallen friend. The band is currently on a 3 week US tour to promote the release of the film which commemorates Lennon.
The film is scheduled to be released on Friday, October 8th. Go see it!
