This weekend marks the 61st Annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, which means that celebrity gifting suites are in full force. But one suite in particular, the Eco-Emmys Celebrity Gifting Suite held at a beautiful private estate on Thursday and Friday in Hancock Park, drew in celebrities for good causes-to sample eco-friendly companies like Nvey Eco Luxury Makeup, Forty Oaks Farms “Green Chefs of Tomorrow,” and TIGI Linnea Peace Love Planet, and to support Free the Slaves a charity organization aimed at ending slavery. Dancing With the Star’s newly single Maxsim Chemerkovsky and American Idol’s Elliott Yamin also came to lend their voice to the cause.
Also in attendance, Couples Retreat star Malin Akerman who got an eco-friendly manicure from Robbie from Rob B Opi’s 100% LEED Certified Nail Salon, got her makeup done by Nvey Eco Luxury Makeup, and picked up an eco-chic handbag from Beth Springer. Project Runway alums Jay McCarroll and Nick Verros got the Red Carpet treatment as they received items from Rock Icon & Disciple Clothing.
