Thursday night was a special night for a lucky group of American Express cardholders who got the opportunity to attend an exclusive fashion show and Q & A, by Vogue Editor-at-Large Andre Leon Talley, with Phillip Lim at Bryant Park. And the presentation sold out in 3 minutes! Here is the Q & A:
The self-proclaimed “democratic designer” showed his feminine, whimsical collection (which he refers to as his children and inspired by “the collage of a woman’s life”) for Spring 2010 which included pleated knee length skirts, sheer tops, a one piece crimson jumpsuit, and a sequin crusted romper. Basically all of the makings of the woman for which he “refines not defines.” In his own words, “She’s mad….mad, smart, funny, sexy, many different things….” A multifaceted designer for the many sides of a woman.
