Both Lee Daniels and Cybill Shepherd will be honored at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards in San Franciso on June 5th for accurately portraying & positively promoting the LGBT community. Also on hand for the event will be openly gay singers Sam Sparro and Chely Wright (who recently came out), as well as Wilson Cruz and Jai Rodriguez. Comedian Bruce Vilanch will host the event. Robert Hanson, the president of San Francisco-based Levi Strauss Americas, will receive an award for rallying behind marriage equality and his involvement on the “No on Prop 8” campaign.
