There are many things that make me smile: rose-soaked summer nights, my skinny jeans feeling a little bit loose on me and a piping-hot serving of french fries with cold ketchup. But the news that the first NKLA (No-Kill Los Angeles) adoption center has opened its doors in Los Angeles, thrills me!
We all know how bad the pet over-population is in Los Angeles. In fact, 13,000 adoptable animals were euthanized last year in LA City Shelters alone. But NKLA (No-Kill Los Angeles) is trying to put an end to this by producing adoption fairs, and this Saturday July 13th, offering a free spay/neuter dog clinic in Compton.
Last week, I spotlighted NKLA’s (No-Kill Los Angeles, a Best Friends Animal Society Initiative) annual pet adoption event at the La Brea Tar Pits. And this week, I can tell you that the event was a big success!
