RED CARPET ROXY’S “RED ALERT” OF THE WEEK-SAVING SEALS

This past week, I attending the Humane Society of the United States Chefs for Seals event at the Montage Beverly Hills. The main goal of the soiree was to generate awareness of the annual Canadian commercial seal slaughter in Newfoundland, and to show that notable chefs like Kerry Simon (Simon LA), Fabio Vivani and Jamie Lauren from Top Chef, Cat Cora (who was one of the hosts along with Nigel Barker) and others support the boycott of Canadian seafood until the hunt is stopped. Celebrities like Mena Suvari, Taryn Manning, Lisa Edelstein, and singing prodigy Jackie Evancho (who also performed) were in attendance and willing to lend their voices to this cause.
