RED CARPET ROXY’S “RED ALERT” OF THE WEEK-PATRICK’S LAW

On March 16th, maintenance workers found an extremely emaciated (he was 20 lbs. when he should have weighed closer to 60!) and severely neglected pit bull pup in the bottom of the garbage chute of their Newark, NJ. building. His former owner, Kisha Curtis, had stuffed this dog’s weak, but still very much alive, body in a plastic bag and dumped it down the 22nd story garbage chute of her apartment building. Once the bag moved, the workers sprung into action, taking the pup to the Humane Society, who then transferred him to a New Jersey animal hospital, where he survived through the night-St. Patrick’s Day, therefore, naming him Patrick.

And now, concerned and caring citizens are urging Congress to pass tougher legislation for animal abuse and stiffer penalties for convicted felons who harm animals. Patrick’s Law, designed to protect these creatures from the harmful hands of humans, is currently being created to help put an end to this cycle of abuse.
