There are lots of things that I miss about my home state of Texas-family, friends, killer Tex-Mex, a balmy August evening (yes I like the heat), and one of my favorite designers, Miss Abi Ferrin. A few months back, I participated in the creation of the “Women of Purpose” book-a collection of beautiful photos from Abi’s clients, friends, and women wearing her one of a kind designs, and who support her mission to help other women living in extreme poverty and oppression around the world.
A huge honor to be a part of this special project, I will be hosting along with some other lovely “Women of Purpose” at the introduction and unveiling party this Thursday, August 20 in Dallas, which begins at The Shak and continues on to the Janette Kennedy Gallery in South side on Lamar where the exhibition will be housed until mid-September. The exhibit then travels with Abi to NYC where it will be on display during her fashion show at the exclusive Style360 Fashion Week event produced by A-List Communications and HFM Media. All in the name of purpose. Who knew fashion could feel so good?
