It’s that time of the year again for music’s biggest night, the Grammys. And almost every year, my birthday falls on Grammys week or weekend, if it isn’t during the Super Bowl. This time around, I celebrated the big day with a private concert by one of my favorite empowering boss mamas, P!NK. What a show!
Thanks to Citibank and Live Nation, a select group of Citibank cardmembers were treated to this amazing show, which featured some of the singer’s greatest hits including Raise Your Glass, Get The Party Started, and What About Us. P!NK also sang No Doubt’s Just a Girl and What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes, which made the crowd go wild. She performed with her talented dancers and band, and although she didn’t do her usual acrobatics (the ceiling at the Hollywood Palladium was far too low for that), it still felt fun, intimate, and full of P!NK’s powerful energy.
It was great because I watched the show from the Citi Sound Vault private viewing balcony, while toasting with birthday cocktails and having plenty of room to dance and take pictures. Before the show started, I checked out the exclusive pop-up shop by Trevor “Trouble” Andrew, who is best known for the iconic “Gucci Ghost.” He created a black and gold street style collection especially for Citi Sound Vault. Think elevated skate wear. Perfect for LA. And it’s shopping for a good cause because net proceeds from all sales will benefit Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
And P!NK is not the only artist to rock the Citi Sound Vault this weekend. Tonight, Muse will perform and Chris Stapleton will take the stage tomorrow night. Past artists to participate in this concert series include Katy Perry, Childish Gambino, Luke Bryan, and The Chainsmokers.
Have you ever seen P!NK in concert?
