Famous fashionistas gathered last night at the brand new Lexington Social House in Hollywood for the launch of UK Style by French Connection, budget-friendly, English-inspired lines for women and men which are sold in Sears stores nationwide. The collections are musically-influenced and incorporate animal prints, sequins, plaid, and of course, the British flag!
And who was at the party, you ask? A gorgeous Carmen Electra (who arrived with her stylist Amanda Reno and was wearing the same dress as Brooke Burke!), Nicky Hilton and Jaime King-who were also twinsies in a sequined leopard print mini dress. Brit Louise Roe also attended, as well as Breaking Dawn’s Nikki Reed, Mena Suvari, The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky, Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Extra host Mario Lopez, and Giuliana Rancic, who hit the red carpet with hubby Bill.
In playing with the price-conscious style theme of the evening, I was curious as to the stars’ favorite on-a-budget fashion tips. Reed revealed, “I tend to buy things from other seasons. And there are awesome sales online.” Jaime’s advice was “If you see something you like in a store, wait a week. If you are still thinking about it, then you know you want it.” Now that takes some willpower! And Carmen summarized the reason why we were all there to celebrate, “The UK Style line is affordable and really cool. I think girls are really going to love it.” Very true!
