Nothing says summer quite like the beach does! Whether you live on the coast, or have to drive a couple hours to get there, few things beat a good beach day. So pack your kids, your parents, your significant other, and even your friends into the car- heck, you can even bring the neighbor- and head down the shore. With all that commotion of who to bring, here’s a list of what to bring to make packing for that trip a little easier.
1. Let’s cover the extreme basics real quick: bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen. Got it?
2. Sunglasses deserve a whole number for themselves, because they are just that important and easy to forget.
3. Always pack a change of clothes, including underwear. No one likes a long ride home with wet sandy pants.
4. Bring a hat, or an umbrella, or a beach tent- just make sure you have something to keep you in the shade a bit.
5. Ever heard of sun blocking beach hair spray? It’s basically sunscreen for your hair- you’re welcome.
6. Oh and don’t forget some baby powder! Baby powder is excellent for removing excess sand from your body, especially your feet.
7. What’s a beach day without a summer novel? There’s just something so wonderful about a good beach read.
8. Planning on a full day trip? Pack a cooler with sandwiches, sodas, and waters before you leave. Snacks are always a great option too, even if you’re only there for a few hours.
9. Headphones are also a must; they can go along with your phone or iPod, so make sure to bring that along too!
10. Last, but not least, lip balm is definitely a beach essential. Burnt lips can quickly ruin all of the beach fun.
What are your beach must-haves?
