And the award for the most original red carpet entrance goes to…..Tom Hanks! On Monday evening, I was surprised (in a good way) to see Tom Hanks on a moped cruising down the red carpet at the premiere of his latest movie, Larry Crowne. Decked in dark jeans and a leather jacket, Tom lead a pack of riders up, down and around the red carpet and Hollywood Boulevard a few times, much to the delight of on-lookers who were sqealing with excitement!

And Hanks couldn’t have been funnier when discussing his arrival saying, “Insurance-wise, someone was upchucking by Madame Troussard’s!” I believe it! He also let me in on what he thinks of his on-screen leading lady, Julia Roberts, who often avoids the spotlight, as well as the best part of stepping behind the camera and directing this flick.
Larry Crowne opens in theaters on Friday, July 1, 2011.
