In honor of those who have lost their lives, and for those who are still fighting HIV/AIDS, World AIDS Day is a day when the world comes together to create awareness of this still very much present disease. This day also serves to advocate for further research in order to find a cure for HIV/AIDS.

Click here to sign a petition supporting amFar, an organization which has led the way for a cure to this disease. In 2009, over 700,000 HIV positive pregnant women around the world received much needed medication to prevent the spread of the disease to their babies. This method of prevention was possible thanks to amFar and their research.
