As you probably already know, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced their separation this past Friday. It came as a surprise to me, as well as many others, who had not heard rumblings of trouble in paradise before now.

Most of the media is speculating as to the cause of the split, from an alleged affair between Lopez and telenovela star William Levy (aka “The Brad Pitt of Cuba”) to a tumultuous, roller coaster-like marriage. And the rumor mill will continue to churn for awhile.

Stylist Phillip Bloch, who has worked with Lopez, was quoted as saying, “This is not a surprise. Marc is very controlling. In the beginning she liked that because he stood up to her, and in the early days he was very much in love with her and she was with him.”
Whatever the reason behind their split, there were definitely warning signs recently-like J Lo being accompanied by her mother, Guadalupe, to the BAFTA Brits to Watch event in Los Angeles earlier this month. Jennifer did not wear her wedding ring to the party. Even after their separation was announced, Anthony laughingly joked at his concert in Bogata, Colombia this past weekend, “They’re saying I’m single.” He then blew kisses to ladies in the audience.
Only time will tell………….
