The Oscars were held last night at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Some highlights included the ribbing between the 2 hosts (Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin) as well as the cutaway to the 2 of them watching TV on the couch in a 2 person Snuggie, Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock’s heartfelt speech which included her speaking about her late mother and calling Meryl Streep “her lover” which quickly turned the tears into laughs, Ben Stiller who came out in a full Avatar costume and who’s tale was controlled by a fishing pole, The Cove winning for Best Documentary, and Kathryn Bigelow making history by being the first woman who won for Best Director.
