Black is the new black! As was seen on the 68th Annual Golden Globes Red Carpet last, black made a huge comeback. Also big-muted tones, pink, sleek silhouettes, open backs, long sleeves, flowing hair, and nude lips. Here is my list of the Best Dressed celebrities from the show:
Eva Longoria in Zac Posen: I am a sucker for backless gowns-it is my favorite dress shape. And it was nice to see wear black for a change as she usually wears lots of color. Eat your heart out, Tony P.!
Emma Stone in Calvin Klein: Please see backless dress comment above. Also, the peach color was so unusual and totally stood out on the red carpet. It looked great on her.
Olivia Wilde in Marchesa: This gown is gorgeous! Befitting of a Hollywood awards show and a movie star.
January Jones in Versace: Another favorite of mine-the color red. And this dress is H-O-T! Bold choice.
Julia Stiles in Romona Keveza: Elegant and love the ruffles!
Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Prive: Modern, sparkly, and sexy.
Heidi Klum in Marc Jacobs: This dress has a fun 70’s vintage feel, halter neckline, and great color-blocking scheme. Also, love that Heidi is a big fashion risk taker-for better or for worse.
Halle Berry in Nina Ricci: Sexy bustier dress and let’s face it, you have to have an amazing body like Halle’s to pull it off.
Jessalyn Gilsig in David Meister: A classic strapless silhouette made a little more funky with the eggplant jacquard texture.
Leighton Meester in Burberry: This dress was totally unique and I love the high-cut slit up the leg.
Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurung: This is a fresh, clean look and age appropriate for the up and coming starlet. Her youthfulness still shines through.
