Tanya Heath-the French footwear innovator has brought her designs Stateside with a new boutique located at 108 South Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood. The designer held a grand opening event in store on May 1st, which was decked out with shoes, macarons, and bubbly.
The versatile shoes, in styles varying from round-toes to sandals, feature a removable heel which can be swapped out with another one. Tall stiletto stems for shorter block heels, metallics for fluorescents—whatever your feet feel like wearing that day or night.
Guests were thrilled at the concept and the boutique was abuzz with partygoers trying on shoes all night, having fun creating their own customized looks while sipping champagne under sparkling chandeliers in the elegant Parisian designed store. A favorite heel guests added to shoes were the Francois Punk heels, a sleek stiletto embellished with three spikes. And the favored base shoe of the evening seemed to be the Salma, a wide strapped sandal perfect for summer. About her unique designs, Heath said, “Each heel style is named after a man’s name. Each shoe is a female name. And when they come together, they click.”
Originating in Paris, this is the first Tanya Heath store in America. Since the heels can easily be slipped into a purse, Heath aims to provide women with the power to just change heels instead of changing shoes. The work to night out transition just got a whole lot easier. Would you wear these?
