Sundance has been hot, hot, hot this year. And I want to share with you some of the scoop that has been going down at the dance!
The Supper Suite by STK sponsored by Dobel Tequila and Johndrow Vineyards, was the place to be. On Saturday night, Rose McGowan accepted her Creative Coalition award proudly dressed, as she said, like Rosie the Riveter. Her explanation for the outfit? “Bad Hair.” Jorge Garcia, Jack McBrayer, and Alison Pill posing for selfies on a banquette and Rainn Wilson spritzed his wife, writer Holiday Reinhorn with “Hello” breath spray. IHa! ronically, Patron owner and producer John Paul De Joria visited the event. He may have even sampled his competitor’s tequila! Chris O’Dowd attended in hopes of meeting the cast (he did) and getting into the 12:45AM screening of COOTIES (he didn’t). No word yet on whether he ever saw the movie, but he did leave with a lovely parting gift: A bottle of Maestro Dobel tequila.
On Sunday night, the Supper Suite by STK sponsored by Dobel Tequila and Johndrow Vineyards hosted Rooney Mara, who arrived later in the evening to wish boyfriend, THE ONE I LOVE director Charlie McDowell well on the premiere, deftly dodging photos on the way out. Ted Danson couldn’t make it but his wife Mary Steenburgen showed off new bangs. The crowd was regaled by Ariana DiLorenzo of Ariana and the Rose with both a live performance and a DJ set which extended into the GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT reception and the pressure was on, as famed dj/music producer/artist Mark Ronson was sitting right in front of the Ariana as she spun!
Meanwhile, at the Talent Resources Suite, Kate Hudson and Zach Braff celebrated their new movie, Wish I Was Here, which Zach Braff co-wrote and directed. Kate said Sundance was a whirlwind for her. I bet! Kellan Lutz used the TR Suites as a hangout for the later part of the afternoon sipping on Eppa Organic Sangria and Gardein Chicken Bites. Cheryl Hines told her buddy, Molly Shannon, “let me see that THONG” at the TR Suites in Park City, Utah.
TAO Nightclub had their third star studded night at Village at the Lift in Park City on Sunday night with Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé and Stella Artois. Celebrities and VIPs came in flocks to escape the cold and enjoy the exclusive underground popup club. DJs Sinatra, Jesse Marco, and Theory performed their annual Sunday Funday Party while Kirill Was Here took photos of all of the action. True Blood’s Joe Manganiello kicked off the night with an after party for his new stripper documentary: La Bare. Joe’s friend DJ Z-Trip came to do a special set for the party. The group included Joe’s girlfriend Bridget Peters, and his brother Nicholas Manganiello, who is his producing partner. Their group arrived early and danced throughout the night guzzling their Moët & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose Goblets.
Seated at Lindsay Lohan’s table was DJ Julian Cavin, who she is rumored to be dating. Lohan had a great time with friends including Ryan Rottman, hanging out at their table and making a quick cameo to the DJ booth.
Adrien Grenier, Brendan Meyer, Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines, and Krysten Ritter were among the celebs that stopped by the Sabra Grab N Go Café supporting Feeding America at Village at The Lift on Sunday. Krysten and Adrien both took photos with the snowman right off the slopes and even GG and MJ from the Shahs of Sunset looked red carpet ready when taking a photo and grabbing some Sabra snacks.
Keira Knightley and Sam Rockwell stopped by the Stella Artois Cidre Lodge to talk about their film, “Laggies.” Afterwards, they joined the rest of the cast and crew at the Stella Artois Cafe for a celebratory lunch. During the Stella Artois Cidre Lodge happy hour, Matisyahu took to the stage for an intimate live performance highlighted by a number of brand new songs. The crowd loved it, giving him a standing ovation when he finished his set. Stars Diane Kruger and Wes Bentley were in attendance. As Wes entered the party, he made a bee-line for the film’s writer/director, AJ Edwards, and greeted him with a big hug. Joshua Jackson arrived a few minutes after his leading lady, Diane Kruger, who greeted him with a loving kiss. How sweet! Joshua Jackson – with a Stella Artois in-hand – chatted with friends, including Jennifer Morrison, throughout the party, staying close to Diane. The group were in very good spirits, with Joshua flashing a huge smile while greeting attendees.
Elle Fanning and Flea chatted about their new movie at the Eco Hideaway PARK CITY. Gilles Marini stocked up on blankets from Minky Couture & jewelry from Deborah Gaspar, while Elijah Wood sipping a Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail in a Repurpose Compostable cup. And Patricia Arquette received skin care tips from the Spa at the Stein Erikson pop-up at Eco Hideaway. Lots of things happening at Sundance!
