First Lady Michelle Obama made style-conscious women around the world love her a little more today with her bold Inauguration fashion choices. She kicked off the day at church with a super-chic, silk jacquard necktie-inspired Thom Browne coat and dress, which was custom-made for FLOTUS. She accessorized her ensemble with a Cathy Waterman necklace, and an affordable J. Crew sparkly belt and pumps. After church, she changed into black Reed Krakoff boots and magenta J. Crew gloves.
For the Inaugural lunch, Michelle removed her coat to reveal a blue Reed Krakoff cardigan, which she wore open over her Thom Browne dress.
And for tonight’s Inaugural Balls, Mrs. Obama slipped into a stunning ruby-colored, chiffon and velvet Jason Wu gown with Jimmy Choo heels and a cocktail ring by Kimberly McDonald.
Love how she went for a bright color and a sexy cut! She also wore Jason Wu to her hubby’s Inauguration first four years ago, which pretty much secured his place as an in-demand designer. Not to mention his amazing talent! But the real show stealer might have been her newly cut bangs, which even received praise from the President himself-in a pre-Inauguration speech yesterday! He said,”To address the most significant event of the weekend, I love her bangs. She looks good. She always looks good.” I love when a man gushes about his lady’s stylish and trendsetting ways, especially when he is POTUS!
