I had so much fun being the official on-camera correspondent for STYLE360 at New York Fashion Week! The fashion shows, parties and celebrity attendants were phenomenal this season, and I can’t wait to share all of my videos with you. In the meantime, here is the wrap up of all the goings on!
A-List Communications was pleased to present STYLE360 New York Fashion Week, September 10-12, 2013 with a prestigious line-up of runway shows and celebrity hosted-nighttime events. In its 9th year of producing an innovative and leading fashion stage for emerging and established fashion brands, the Spring/Summer 2014 season included Junk Food Vintage NFL Curated by Kristin Cavallari, Shop.AngelaIAm.com by Angela Simmons, Malan by Malan Breton, Meskita by Alessandra Meskita, FrontRow by Shateria Moragne-El, Tumbler and Tipsy by Michael Kuluva, and Just Dance With Boy Meets Girl®.
All fashion shows were presented at the STYLE360 Fashion Pavilion in Chelsea and official after-parties held at off-site partner locations Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel and the newly opened design district nightclub Suite 36.
Day one of STYLE360 began with the Junk Food Vintage NFL Curated by Kristin Cavallari fashion show. Bringing the game to life on the runway, the show featured fun and trendy looks redefining traditional NFL uniforms with feminine design elements. The new NFL Women’s Apparel Creative Director Phillip Bloch was in attendance, as well as celebrity/VIP’s including fashion designer/actress Kristin Cavallari, actress Jena Sims, Olympic swimming gold medalist Tyler Clary, recording artist Baiyu, Model/Designer Karrueche Tran, recording artist Justine Skye and many more. Music for the show was curated by DJ Josh Madden.
Next up was the debut of Shop.AngelaIAm.com by Angela Simmons. The non-traditional, interactive fashion show was an extension of the merchandise available on Angela’s recently launched e-commerce website AngelaIAM.com. The contemporary collection drew in a multitude of celebrity guests such as Hip Hop Pioneer Rev Run, Actor Tristan “Mack” Wilds, Recording artist Sean Kingston, Rapper Bow Wow, Model Tyson Beckford, TV Personality Ariane Davis, and more, with music by DJ Amanda Seales.
Concluding day one, was the Official STYLE360 New York Fashion Week S/S 2014 Party Celebrating Junk Food Curated By Kristin Cavallari at Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel. Junk Food and NFL executives, media and Kristin Cavallari and friends came together to celebrate the highly successful runway show. Attendees sipped on cocktails provided by Voli Light Vodkas. Celebrity Guests included fashion designer/actress Kristin Cavallari, Grammy Award winning artist Estelle, model Carissa Rosario and more.
Day two began with Malan by Malan Breton with feline-inspired fashions created in collaboration with Fancy Feast Gourmet® Cat Food. The runway show opened with a performance by Kelly King who sang the iconic tune “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. Supermodel and Actress Irina Pantaeva strutted down the runway to the delight of celebrity guests such as Real Housewives of New York Alex McCord, author Simon Van Kempe and TV Personality Keisha Nichols.
Immediately following was Meskita by Brazillian designer Alessandra Meskita. The glamorous resort collection featured Meskita’s staple looks that blended comfort and style seamlessly. VIP and celebrity guests who attended were author Candace Bushnell, Actress Megan Etcheberry, Singer Stefani Vara and Model Carissa Rosario.
Ending day two was FrontRow by Shateria Moragne-El. The innovative, luxury brand was a hit with the crowd by opening with a performance by Compound Entertainment’s very own RaVaughn. The front row of FrontRow couture was a who’s who of some of the biggest stars in entertainment with celebrity guests that included singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, TV Personality Adrienne Bailon, recording artists Melanie Fiona and Bridget Kelly, Celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie, Model/designer Karrueche Tran, TV Personality Emily B., Basketball Wives of Miami star Meeka Claxton, and TV Personality Jennifer Williams.
Notably, during day two and day three of STYLE360, Actress Tiffani Thiessen was spotted at the Eight O’ Clock booth in partnership with the Dress For Success Red Dress Collection and interacting with media and guests in attendance.
The final day of STYLE360 began with Tumbler and Tipsy by Michael Kuluva presented by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The competitive figure skater and fashion designer’s eye-catching collection featured garments embellished with Swarovski crystals and a performance by Neon Hitch. The front row was lined with celebrity followers including, Ramona Singer of Real Housewives of New York, designer Richie Rich of Heatherette and Miss New York Winner, Stephanie Chernick. The runway show included the debut of none other than celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, US Figure Skating Champion Johnny Weir, and Brielle Zolciak, daughter of Real Housewives of Altanta star Kim Zolciak. The designer definitely infused his flavor into New York Fashion Week with his Spring 2014 Tumbler & Tipsy Collection and is excited for what is next!
The grand finale of STYLE360 was Just Dance with Boy Meets Girl®. Teen heartthrob and VMA Artist To Watch, Austin Mahone opened with his hit single “What About Love.” Immediately following the performance, models danced down the runway in the Spring/Summer 2014 Collection inspired by the game’s design, music and energetic feel. Celebrity models included actress Brittany Snow and professional tennis player Sloane Stephens. VIP/Celebrity guests included fashion designer and mogul Steve Madden & family, recording artist Estelle, Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Giudice and daughters, and TV personalities Melanie Iglesias, Lenay Dunn and Tanisha Long. Following the show, Austin Mahone was seen at the Just Dance activation booth participating in the motion-controlled game to the delight of the small crowd that gathered around him.
Concluding the spectacular three-day program was the STYLE360 New York Fashion Week Closing Party Celebrating Just Dance With Boy Meets Girl® Collection at Suite 36. Guests in attendance, which included Boy Meets Girl® designer Stacy Igel, Brittany Snow, Sloane Stephens, Brian McKnight, and more were treated to cocktails provided by Voli Light Vodkas. Music was provided by Paper Magazine’s DJ Hesta Prynn.
