STYLE360 Fall 2012 DAY 2

STYLE360 Day 2 brought just as much excitement and fabulous fashion as the day before!

It kicked off with the EMU Australia fashion show, attended by Breaking Dawn star Chaske Spencer who revealed to me his love for EMU. He even changes into his fave comfy boots in between takes on set. And the show did remain true to the label with comfy pieces like chunky sweaters and scarves, knit mittens and hats, and of course, the iconic boots. But there were also more stylized pieces like hot pants, leather skirts, and mini dresses.

Also a fan of the brand-90210’s Shenae Grimes, who couldn’t wait to try on the boots after the show!

I have one word to sum up the next show, Theia. Stunning. I was completely bowled over by the intricate and beautiful designs. This was designer Don O’Neill’s runway debut, having only presented informally before, and judging from the reaction of the audience, it couldn’t have been received any better. Honestly, any one of his gorgeous dresses could be pulled from the runway and placed on the Oscars red carpet, which will most likely happen.

And his inspiration came from Greek mythology, specifically the Goddess Athena. Hence, the high, wrapped ponytails created by PR at Partners, dramatic headpieces, and BeautiControl’s deep, smoky eye which made for a powerful presentation. He complemented each look with Ben-Amun jewelry and shoes from Q by Pasquale. RHONJ stars Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile, along with the two newest Real Housewives of NYC Aviva Drescher and Heather Thomson, all sat on the front row in awe of the dresses, as the cameras rolled. Here was my view from the front row, complete with a roaring ovation for O’Neill:

The last show of STYLE360 was the whimsical Monopoly by Junk Food Art House. Think properties come to life! From Park Place to the Electric Co., the designs were really fun and some were actually quite wearable. They were created by a consortium of designers including Boy Meets Girl’s Stacy Igel, Renee Masoomian, and Andrea Valentini, who interpreted the theme of the show “Money Can’t Buy Happiness.”

Bachelorette winner J.P. Rosenbaum walked (for the first time) in the show, and Nigel Barker watched from the audience. And Nigel mentioned to me that he wouldn’t rule out a return to the catwalk. Would you like to see him strut his stuff on the runway again?
