On Sunday night, I headed to Trousdale (along with many Tinseltown favorites) for the Star Magazine “All Hollywood” event celebrating celebrities and their favorite charitable causes.
I spoke to several philanthropic celebrities, including Taylor Dayne who was representing the Lollipop Foundation, Tara Reid shedding the spotlight on child-trafficking in the United States, Stephanie Pratt and her love of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Gavin DeGraw and his music-based charity Musicians on Call, Shanna Moakler supporting Children’s Burn Foundation, Taryn Manning’s efforts for the Red Cross in Tsunami-ravaged Japan, and Joanna Krupa’s work with Best Friends Animal Society. It’s good to hear that celebrities not only give back, but really enjoy doing so.
As party goers sipped Cuervo Margarita Light cocktails, the evening’s entertainment included DJ sets by Manning and Chris Masterson, with an amazing performance by DeGraw. The audience was blown away by his music and voice, leaving the crowd wanting more Gavin!
In fact, comedian Dane Cook snuck into the party with a female guest just to hear DeGraw sing. Pop stars Isaac and Taylor Hanson (“Um Bop”) enjoyed the music, while Gretchen Rossi and boyfriend Slade Smiley danced in the middle of the room, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Faye Resnick chatted with Mary Amons from the Real Housewives of DC and a male friend in the back room before the ladies did a shoot in the EOS photo booth, and Tara Reid mingled and posed for pictures with revelers before being swarmed by the paparazzi upon her exit.
