Style360 kicked off with a bang on Sunday with a return to romance at the Gudnitz Couture show. As a super svelte and dark haired (which looks great on her) Denise Richards sat in the first row and looked on, dresses with lots of layering, sequined detailing, and mermaid silhouettes floated down the runway. This Danish designer uses lots of black and white, as well as pops of pink and purple for Spring 2011. Great for Red Carpet events!
The next show was Belle Parish presented by BeautiControl and designed by Ali Landry-a line that this former Miss USA designed with her own daughter, Estela, in mind.
Celebrity moms including RHONYC’s Alex McCord, Denise Richards, and Victoria Recano walked the runway with their own daughter-Recano-and child models-Richards and McCord-while songs like “Hard Knock Life” blared over the speakers. Predictably, this show elicited a large amount of ooohs and aaahs as the sassy kids owned the runway. The clothes-girly, lots of bows & pastels (blue, pink, and yellow), soft cottons that are comfortable for the little ones-all around adorable for little girls. Playful but polished.
And the final show of the day was WALTER, presented by Sebastian, who has shown at STYLE360 for the last 4 seasons. His collection was comprised of a palette of black and white, sheer pieces, and fringe.
Very minimalist. I actually prefer his Spring 2010 Collection to this one. It had more color, felt more feminine, and was a stronger presentation. More suited to my personality.
Stay tuned for more runway reports from STYLE360, as well as interviews with the celebs and designers. See you back here!
