Rumer Willis joined her sister in the Free The Nipple movement on Thursday at the Skybar. Rumer sported a three-breast themed shirt in support of the fundraiser’s event hosted by Russell Simmons. Simmons ignited the crowd through a speech during the party about his support for the cause. Willis also showed support during her elevated performance, which was spotlighted in the middle of the party. Guests were drinking cocktails, Mr. Pink Beverages, taking pictures in the Bosco photo booth, and listening to songs by the DJ and indie band, Among Savages, all night long.
The Free The Nipple fundraiser was supported by other celebs as well such as Lydia Hearst, Karrueche Tran and more! Stars not only supported the nipple campaign, but they also strutted their stuff (literally) on the red carpet! Lena Gora flaunted her goodies or should I say “headlights” on the red carpet, with a very sheer and eye-catching see-through dress. Model and girlfriend of Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran, also flaunted her “high beams” and flashed a little side-boob as she walked the carpet in a pink pencil skirt and chain designed heels. We also can’t forget about Ashley Wright as she turned major heads by breast-feeding on the red carpet!
The Free The Nipple movement (inspired by its self-titled film directed by Lina Esco) stands to promote equality among the sexes and laws that prohibit women to be topless, including breastfeeding. In over 30 states in the US it’s illegal for women to be topless, although men don’t share the same stigma. Rumer Willis says she is passionate about the cause because of her beliefs in censorship and female oppression. Her sister, Scout Willis, also sparked Rumer’s passion for this cause as Scout recently strolled through Manhattan topless in protest of Instagram’s policy on breasts. During the event Rumer also posed with director of “Free The Nipple,” Lina Esco, who too dressed in theme with a shirt displaying breasts with “X”s covering the nipples. Russell Simmons also made his rounds during the event and chatted with many guests about his latest connection to the cause: Free The Nipple. How do you feel about freeing the nipple?
