Red Carpet Roxy’s Look of the Week comes to us from a Canadian designer, Carlie Wong. Not only was she a contestant on “Project Runway Canada” (she got eliminated), but she just showed her Fall 2009 Collection at LG Fashion Week in Toronto this past week. Although this piece is from her last collection (Spring/Summer 2009), Red Carpet Roxy could not ignore it. For one, this could easily be a daytime or nighttime ensemble (imagine sipping vodka gimlets all afternoon at The Ivy then rolling into a cocktail party at an undisclosed location in the hills high above Hollywood at night.) Also, Carlie plays with the lengths and proportions of the outfit, pairing a small, sexy around the neck halter top with 1940’s wide legged trousers. You can’t go wrong with black, white, and the ruffle details of this garb. Would you be surprised if you saw Charlize Theron working the Red Carpet in this outfit?
