A Look from the Fall line of the Starck Ballantyne Collaboration
Collaborations seem to be the way in fashion these days as a way to keep things innovative and fresh from Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas to Phillip Lim and Cartier, there is another duo which will debut their brainchild this Fall: Philippe Starck and Italian designer Ballantyne. A full men’s and women’s collection that includes casual wear or as Starck puts it,” nothing else than just what we really need anytime, anywhere,” as well as accessories like gloves and belts. This modern looking collection with hints of bright color will be sold in Ballantyne stores starting this Fall. Although this isn’t Philippe’s first foray into the realm of collaborative fashion (he has worked with Puma and Fossil), it certainly is his most extensive collection. Philippe Starck, a celebrity French designer in his own right, has created some of the most beautiful and recognizable interiors around from the Hudson Hotel in Midtown Manhattan to Felix restaurant in The Peninsula Hong Kong and even his eponymous Starck Club back in the 1980’s located in Dallas.
