I think that most people are over their Emmys hangovers by now. I know I am! And so, it’s time to chat about the happenings at some of the hottest parties that night.
So, you know it is going to be a good time when the first person (literally!) you bump into at the party is Mr. Big! He was just chilling out looking as tall, dark and handsome as ever with wifey unit Tara Wilson and friends at th AMC/IFC/Sundance party at Boa. Not longer after, newly blonde Elisabeth Moss rolled in rocking that amaze Andrew Gn number she graced on the red carpet earlier. She quickly assumed a banquette on the far side of the room, which served as the hub for all of the Mad Men cast once they arrived. Next up was Breaking Bad star and Emmy winner Anna Gunn who was practically swarmed with admirers, and who gladly posed for pictures with waiting guests.
Christina Hendricks and hubby Geoffrey Arend weren’t far behind and together with Mad Men costume designer, Janie Bryant, assumed another booth close to where Moss was perched smoking ciggies. January Jones was the last Mad Men-er to make her entrance, but she certainly didn’t waste anytime-grabbing a beer and pulling up a set next to her fellow cast members. Matthew Weiner was having a great time chatting with friends at the bash, and his wife couldn’t have been more gracious, introducing party-goers to her mother who was so impressed with the amount of very expense, loaned jewelry that her daughter was sporting. Bryan Cranston was in and out, having to leave to attend to his next film role.
Sadly, Jon Hamm never made it down to the AMC/IFC/Sundance soiree. Instead he hosted his own private “Losers” party upstairs at Soho House, where Amy Poehler held court at the bar, swigging Johnnie Walker Platinum and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage rolled in with a group of friends at around 1 AM.
Meanwhile, Post Emmy hosting duties, Neil Patrick Harris was the life of the party making a point to speak with all his guests and working the room at his celebration, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, on the rooftop of the Thompson Hotel. At one point he and his partner David Burtka were seen dancing to the 80’s tunes played by the party DJ. Harris’s How I Met Your Mother co-stars Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan came to support their dear friend. Smulders and a friend took some great photo booth photos and Hannigan took her shoes off leaving with her husband Alexis Denisof before midnight. American Horror Story: Coven star Zachary Quinto was enjoying himself, talking to many guests and spending some time with his boyfriend, model Mile McMilan. 2013 Emmy Nominated Choreographer Travis Wall was also in attendance grooving to the 80’s tunes and spending time in the photo booth. Just as the party was winding down, Hendricks showed up looking stunning in her black Christian Siriano dress which accentuated her curves. Until next year, Emmys. It was a fun one!
